A Travel Guide to Osun, Nigeria

Pack for the Weather

The weather in Osun State can vary but it is mostly hot, so pack accordingly. February in Osun State typically sees hot, dry conditions with minimal rainfall and the influence of the harmattan winds.

Opt for lightweight, breathable clothing such as cotton shirts, shorts, and dresses to stay cool during the day. Light jackets or sweaters for cooler evenings, as temperatures can drop at night during the dry season. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, especially for exploring Osun State’s cultural sites and historic locations.

Don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun by packing sunscreen with a high SPF, and consider bringing moisturizer and lip balm as the harmattan can cause dry skin
